Cleaning supplies can be especially hard to find these days. Or maybe you're interested in making your own supplies with natural ingredients that are more cost effective? Whatever your reason, here are some great cleaning hacks to try!
Rubbing Alcohol: Rubbing alcohol can be an excellent disinfectant on counters, and you can also use it to clean glass and mirrors. Simply mix with equal parts water and use a rag or cotton balls to apply.
Baking Soda: Baking soda can be an excellent oven or drain cleaner, and can also be used to wash produce! You can also use it as a substitute for dish soap by combining 2 tablespoons of baking soda into 2 cups of water and then using the solution to hand wash your dishes.
White Vinegar: White vinegar is a fantastic natural cleaner for bacteria-rich surfaces like computer keyboards, cutting boards or counter tops. To use, mix equal parts white vinegar with water. If you find the smell offensive, you can add drops of essential oils to the solution.
Olive Oil: Olive oil isn't necessarily a cleaning solution ingredient, however, it can be used for a lot more than cooking! You can use it on your hands and skin as a natural moisturizer, lip balm, shaving cream or make-up remover.
Lemons and Limes: You can add them as a natural deodorizer by adding the juice from the lemons and limes to water in a spray bottle and spraying to freshen surfaces. Lemon juice can also be mixed with coarse sea salt and works as a fantastic natural abrasive cleaner.
