Classic Summer Vacation Spots For Everyone

It is the middle of June and summer is in full swing! Have you planned a vacation yet? Maybe you're thinking about taking one but aren't sure where to go. Well, look no further! Check out the list below of classic vacation spots that anyone can enjoy. So pack your bags (and maybe your passport)! I think I have my vacation wishlist planned out thanks to this list!

  1. Italy: So many cities, and hopefully you have plenty of time! Italy offers incredible and unique experiences depending on where you visit. Some top spots are Rome, Venice, Tuscany, and Milan.

  2. Road Trip from Charleston to Savannah: These two towns oozing with southern charm are only about 2 hours apart. Indulge on amazing food, walk along the ocean, live oak trees draped in moss, go on ghost tours, and explore the lovely architecture.

  3. Columbia: Cities like Medellín and Cartagena offer a chance to immerse yourself into the Columbian culture. Explore the expansive art scene, hiking nearby mountains, enjoy the beauty of the rain forest, and lounge on white sand beaches.

  4. Monaco: Located on the coastline of France, this upscale independent city-state offers upscale casinos and restaurants, and gorgeous seaside scenery. If you're a fan of James Bond, you might feel like you're a part of a movie!

  5. Marrakesh: Located in northern Africa, Morocco offers unique experiences and opportunities for visitors. Take in the markets, ride a camel, and bask in the sunset and get lost in the stars.

  6. Jamaica: If you love beaches, sunrises and sunsets, then you will love Jamaica. If you want a break from relaxing at your resort, you can also snorkel or scuba dive.

  7. Machu Picchu: Getting here is not the easiest process, but it is absolutely worth the effort. The ruins and views are unparalleled, and you can explore other spots in Peru while you're there.

  8. Lima: If you are a foodie, you'll love Lima. Explore the ample restaurants, many with Michelin stars and affordable tasting menus, go surfing, and explore the city.

  9. Nicaragua: Located in Central America, Nicaragua is located in between the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea makes for fantastic surfing, volcanoes, lakes, and more.

  10. Napa Valley: Napa Valley offers a bountiful amount of wineries, incredible restaurants, and stunning landscape just a short drive outside of San Francisco. Take in some wine tours, enjoy locally sourced food, and catch up on some rest.

  11. New York City: True, summer is perhaps the busiest time to visit NYC. New York has so many iconic things to do during your stay. Be sure to check out Times Square, the Statue of Liberty, take in a show on Broadway, catch a game, and save plenty of room for the incredible food.

  12. Mexico: Mexico offers exquisite beauty, incredible historical sites, beaches, and fabulous all-inclusive resorts. If you can, check out several different cities to appreciate what Mexico truly has to offer.

  13. Safari in South Africa: Going on a safari is at the top of many traveler's bucket lists. Experiencing the beautiful scenery and animals up close and in their natural habitat is sure to be a trip you'll never forget.

  14. U.S. National Parks: Our country's National Parks are expansive and diverse. From Yosemite, the Great Smokey Mountains, and the Grand Canyon, the country has National Parks coast to coast, including in Alaska and Hawaii.

  15. Europe - By Train: Why settle for one country on your trip to Europe? Grab yourself a Eurail Pass and travel easily in-between countries and explore all the places on your list!

  16. Florida: Taking the time to explore different spots throughout Florida is well worth your while. The state offers theme parks, beaches, the Everglades, swamps, big city glamour, and much more.

  17. Cruise: There are a vast array of cruises sailing from different parts all over the world. And almost everything is taken care of for you! Enjoy the amenities of the ship, relax, and experience adventures at each port on your itinerary.

  18. The Wild West: Ready for some cowboy lore, ghost towns, beautiful scenery, old gold mines, and lots of history? Check out the wild west in places like Colorado, South Dakota, Wyoming and Nevada.

  19. Pacific Coast Highway: Breathtaking views that you have to experience to believe await you. Located along expansive beaches and rugged cliffs, incredible views, photo ops, sunsets, and more await you. Amtrak also offers a chance to explore the Pacific Coast Highway by train on its Coast Starlight route.

  20. Southeast Asia: Think Bali, Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam. Explore the sites, taste the food, book excursions, and more.
